Call it kanda bhaji or pyaaz ke pakode or onion fritters. It’s all going to taste the same and yummy. Onion coated with gram flour and a few spices is a treat in itself. Small plates sold in the street for a bare minimum amount is worth millions when had with a piping glass of tea called as cutting chai in Mumbai. Every collage, office, school would have such eateries where kanda bhaji is made and it is sold like hot cakes. A bite of the bhaji , a bite of the chilly and a sip of tea is a festival by itself. This delicacy is always made during heavy rains and I bet many will have stories related to this. So pick up your cutting chai, fry these bhaji and share your memories with us in the comment section.
