Panagam

A super cooling and a refreshing drink from the temples of south India. It is an offering to god on the occasion of Shri Ram Navami – celebration of lord Shri Ram’s birth. This can also be prepared on a regular basis and is a perfect summer coolant. It offers various health benefits along with an outstanding taste.

Ingredients

Water – 2 glasses

Jaggery – 1/4 cup powdered

Lemon juice – juice from half a lemon

Dry ginger powder – 1/4 tsp

Cardamom powder – crushed cardamom 2 no’s

Edible camphor – a pinch (completely optional)

Method

1. In a vessel add jaggery, cardamom powder, dry ginger powder, edible camphor, lemon juice and water. Mix well and serve chilled.
